Although, the graphs are misleading as MapR has a very close relationship with Databricks, the company solely focusing on Spark that employs the founder of Spark. The graphs would be better represented if they included Databricks into the percentage of Spark committers, as well as with the number of Spark patches committed.

How should I interpret the graphic “Spark Committers by Hadoop Distribution*”?

Thanks!
